Ivory Pictures was conceived by Tony Gaspar in 2006 based on the thought of how expensive weddings can actually be.

 

My interest in photography started when I was 14 years of age, when dad bought me a second hand film Olympus SLR. The camera had no automatic functions what so ever, and therefore taught my self to use it. I proceeded to spend the majority of my pocket money on films and developing!

 

II then decided to take a city and guilds in Photography at the age of 19, which increased my passion and enthusiasim further. Over the years I have taken thousands of photos of everything that caught my eye.

 

In 2003, I dipped my toe into digital photography, as I loved the concept of creativity and technology coming together. In realty this made the end to end process considerably smoother and easier. I continued to use both film and digital over the year, as I wanted to compare the sutble differences between the two medias, before choosing to move to digital completely.

 

In 2004 I was invited to a friends wedding in Scotland, and decided to to take my own photos of the day as a gift to them both. This was in addition to the photographer which had been hired to cover their special day.

 

However, the photos produced by the hired phtographer was not at all to the standard expected. When I offered my gift, not realising of the issue they had had, the bride started to cry as she loved my photos so much!

 

Several guests who attended saw my photos, and loved them too, to the extent they asked me to cover their wedding days too, I was flattered and agreed with enthusiaim!

 

Over the proceeding 2 years, I covered as many weddings as possible, studied, and again self taught myself everything I needed to cover an amazing event such as a wedding. To this day, I continue to get butterflies of aniticpation, and raise early every time I am covering a wedding with the excitement of the forthcoming day.

We do not charge per hour, which means if we have to stay a little longer to capture those moments, then we will. We tailor make a package, incorporating your requirements, both for the wedding day, and post requirements to ensure you receive everything you desire from your day. This enables us to offer you a competitive price with out having to include elements which you do not want.

 

In addition to covering your day, we then combine your day, our passion, and the highest handcrafted albums, photobooks and thank you cards  provided by companies such as Jorgenson,  Graphistudios to ensure your day is presented in a way that tells your story for years to come.
